Being my most authentic self...

In this crazy world that we inhabit it can be hard to be your true self. There is always pressure to act a certain way, dress a certain way, have a certain body shape, have a big home, drive a nice car and so on. I have battled with these things my entire life. I think social media has caused us to always compare what we have and who we are with others. I often think I would be much happier if I could leave social media behind and just live my life in the way that makes me and my family happy. Unfortunately, it is hard to let it go. As an artist it is how I am able to share my creations with so many people...near and far. Although some days I feel that my time and effort in putting myself out there is nothing more that a tiny drop of water in a huge ocean. Everything is so over saturated but I like to think that putting my heart and soul into the art that I create is getting a message out there. My creations are full of compassion, love, hope and often sadness. In a world that can be so full of hatred, prejudice and bigotry...I have made it my mission to send compassion, acceptance and positivity back into the universe. I am who I am...a vegan...a witch...fierce protector of my children...strong willed...stubborn. I will not apologize for what I believe in or who I am. I have been hurt deeply by others but I refuse to let it break me or define me. As I approach my 46th birthday I want to live the life that was given to me in the fullest, happiest and most authentic way I can. No more comparing, no more living in self doubt but holding my head high and finding the beauty and positivity in all the things around me. I am proud of who I am and what I create and how I live my life. This is my mantra....

Recently, my artwork has taken a bit of a change. Along with creating illustrations, I am also creating objects to help others also find peace, compassion and positivity in their lives. Dream boxes, intention boxes, wish boxes and more. Handmade items infused with positivity and love that include small journals, crystals, healing jars and more. This new journey I am taking is not only taking me to a much happier place in my own life but hopefully bringing some that happiness to others.

As I start blogging again, I hope to take you on a journey of how my creations come about, what goes into making them and how to use them. I also hope to share with you some "how to" photos and hopefully videos (if I get brave enough to get in front of a camera!) I also plan to share a bit more of my personal life on this blog as well as my art.

I would love to hear your thoughts, would you might like to learn from me or what you would love to see me create!
