What a journey...

You never really know what each day will bring. I have learned so much over the last year as my mother-in-law and I decided to take on the adventure of owning a small business. We had so many wonderful times and made so many amazing friends, but after much soul searching we came to decision that it was just not for us. There were many things that led to the decision but when all was said and done it was just not the path we were meant to take. I spent way too much time focusing on the retail side of things that I just could not put my heart into my art like I wanted. So, we are closing Gypsies at the end of this month and then my new journey begins. My studio is back home where I can venture into it whenever inspiration strikes...it is a comforting feeling knowing that I have everything I need just a few steps away. At first I felt as though the closing of our shop was a failure but I know we could have kept going and most likely made a go of it but it just didn't feel right. So as that part of my life comes to an end I feel that I am on the cusp on something wonderful. I look forward to sharing that journey with you...

Hi Elise!
I read that you are starting another part of your journey and leaving Gypsies behind. Sometimes risks just lead to the next right step of the journey, and I am so glad that you came to that conclusion now. I have always admired your art/heart and wish you and your MIL the best in your separate endeavors. I will soon be closing one door and a few have already started to open. Look forward to keeping abreast of your journey. yay to Aries sisters embarking on new paths! xx

Thanks Gigi! I agree…..at least I can say we tried and we will never wonder "what if?" I am so happy that we gave it a shot and came away learning what we really want to focus on. Life certainly is an adventure full of ups and downs…I have no regrets…just looking forward to what's next! Looking forward to watching your story unfold as well! <3
