My 200th post! Wow!

I can't believe I have posted on my blog 200 times! (of course it was over a few years...but still cool!)

We are celebrating my son's 12th birthday this weekend....with a finale on Monday in New York City. We shall be packing up the hockey skates and heading up for a day of good times and vegan food! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend and I will most likely see you back here on Tuesday.....I do hope someone is reading out there in the internet world.....

Here a few of my latest pieces.....

Two cuff first venture into resin jewelry....I am very happy with them!

And this is the second in my Wish Box Series....."Spread Your Wings"

Happy V Day!

Patrick and I have never really celebrated Valentine's Day...we both agreed that you should really show each other EVERY day of the year that you love them :) but as the kids came along we have been doing a bit least for them. Lydia was bouncing off the walls this morning...she could not wait to take her Valentine's to school! Liam was quite happy with his gift of chocolate and Mind Craft. Tonight I plan to make some heart shaped pizzas and enjoy a glass of wine. What is everyone else up to today?

Just remember to love one another, be kind...and have a heart.

Is there anybody out there?

So......they are calling for more snow here in Jersey! I must admit I have been longing for a snow day....a day to spend at home with nowhere to be and nothing to do but hang out with my family and perhaps sneak into the studio! Well, we shall see!

My daughter and I worked on a little project this week with some plaster casts.....she created little Valentine's day gifts....and this morning we also baked some yummy sugar cookies! Here are some pics of our goodies!

and then for the cookies!!!

Hope everyone has a great night and we shall chat more tomorrow!

Meet Mr. Stripe!

This is one the first sculptures that I have made that has not been a doll or a jester stick. He just popped into my head one day and the next day I had sculpted him in paper clay. He has an armature made of a wooden dowel and styrofoam..and the rest is paperclay, pencil, acrylic, ink and a paper flower adorned with skeletons. I must admit...I love him :)

venturing into resin....

Good morning! I hope everyone had a fabulous is a bit dreary here and my little one is running a bit of a fever so there will be lots of cuddles and love going on in the house today. I just wanted to post a couple of things really quick while she is eating her breakfast.

I have been playing around more with resin over the last few weeks.....I even invested in Lisa Pavelka's UV resin "Magic- Glos" and UV Lamp. So far I love it! The resin cures in about 20 minutes under the lamp and there are never any air bubbles...the only problem is that the UV lamp does not give you very much room so the pieces have to be somewhat small and flat. The Magic-Glos will cure out in direct sunlight but due to the weather we have had of late that is not going to happen :). Therefore the lamp won't work for the bracelets I am working on so I will be using the regular two-part resin for these pieces.

Here are a few pics of what has been going on in my studio....

These are the bracelets I mentioned...they still need a coat of resin (which I hope to pick up later today). I am really happy how they have turned out so far. I will post more pictures once I get them listed in my shoppe.

This is a pic of the final dream box...this is the second in the series...titled "Spread Your Wings".
More pictures of this to come as well.

This is a little project Lydia, my five year old,  and I are working on.
A plaster kit her Mimi gave her....they are all ready to be painted...once she feels up to it :)

I hope everyone has a fantastic start of the week and I will be back soon!
Faerie love....
